There are many organizations building schools in Afghanistan but there are no other organizations quite like RAF. RAF is unique for two reasons. First, it is solely focused on the children of Afghanistan unlike other organizations which may build schools in a variety of troubled countries. Second, RAF has been built and is entirely run by a group of young New Yorkers, with a wealth of financial, fund-raising and nonprofit experience. RAF's founders and committee hold senior positions in private equity, equity sales, private banking, public relations, international relations, fund-raising and asset management. Collectively, this is a very powerful combination, and it enables RAF to successfully raise money which will directly benefit educational development in Afghanistan and, equally as important, open the eyes of key business leaders to the importance of supporting education in this afflicted nation. |
